Flower Power for the March Inking Royal Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop! Despite the occasional cold spell or snowfall in some areas, we are well into Spring – and we are ready for the flowers to bloom. We are excited to share our flower-filled creations with you and hope you love them!

My favorite thing about making cards, they never turn out how I envisioned the card when I started! This card took 4 different trial and errors: new backgrounds, color changes, layout swaps, and different punches! I used the two tone flora stamp set bundle to create the flowers and leaves! This is such a versatile stamp set and having the matching dies is even better. To stamp the flowers, I stamped the intricate part of the stamp first. For the second step, I stamped the background in stamped off ink. This means I inked the stamp, stamped it off on scrap paper, and then stamped over the intricate image. For the sentiment I used Flowering Tulips and the newly brought back circle punches. They are unavailable at the time of writing this post but keep your eyes peeled for a restock. My blog subscribers and customers will get a notification from me once they are restocked (that means you should subscribe to my blog lol). Lastly, I used the following colors: Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana.

As always, if you subscribe to my blog you will get a detailed PDF and video of the process of making this card.

Thank you for stopping by today. If you’re reading my post, you’ve made it to the last stop on the blog hop! We hope you’ve enjoyed our creations and that you’ll join us again next month!
